NAISA 2nd Annual Meeting

May  20 - 22, 2010   • Event Venue:  The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa

The Native American and Indigenous Studies Association was founded in 2008 as a professional organization dedicated to supporting those who work inside and outside the academic world in the scholarly field of Native American/American Indian/First Nations/Aboriginal and Indigenous studies.

NAISA is dedicated to encouraging academic freedom, research, teaching, and publication; recognizing Indigenous knowledge and methodologies; strengthening relations among persons and institutions devoted to such studies; and broadening knowledge among the general public about Native American and Indigenous studies in all its diversity and complexity.

American Indian Studies at The University of Arizona welcomes you to Tucson and southern Arizona. We are dedicated to making the Tucson NAISA Conference a model for bringing together Indigenous elders and students, community activists, practicing professionals, and academics in an exciting and productive exchange.
Group rate available until April 18, 2010. Subject to availability.
