In keeping with our Breathe Westin® initiative, all guest rooms and public areas of the hotel are smoke-free. Guests who smoke in their guest room will be assessed a fee of $200 so that the room can be refreshed for the next guest.
Late Checkout Policy
Late checkout requests are subject to availability. A fee of 75 USD will be imposed on guests checking out past the provided checkout time. Qualifying Starwood Preferred Guests may be granted a 4:00 PM checkout at no charge based on availability. Please contact the hotel for further information.
We are happy to accept valid credit cards and checks, with the proper form of identification. Unfortunately, we cannot accept cash as a method of payment.
To arrange 3rd party pre-payment charges, please contact the hotel directly, as we can no longer accept credit card authorization forms by fax or email. Full credit card information, including security code, is required at the time of reservation.
Hotel does not offer a waitlist.
Suite Night Award Cancellation Policy
Suite Night Award requests may be cancelled until 2 p.m. local hotel time the day before you arrive, as long as the Awards have not already been confirmed for use on a reservation. Once your Awards have been confirmed, you must cancel the entire reservation to be credited back all the Awards; however, after 3 p.m. local hotel time the day before you arrive, a reservation cancellation will result in the forfeiture of all Suite Night Awards applied to the entire reservation. This is in addition to any other cancellation penalties applicable to the reservation itself.
Guests must provide valid photo identification and credit card to complete the check-in process.
Family Plan Policy
Room rates include the accommodation of children (17 years old or younger) who sleep in the existing bedding of a guest room. Rollaway beds and cribs may incur extra charges.
Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 21 years or older with valid identification.
Connecting Room Policy
Connecting rooms are available, subject to availability, and cannot be guaranteed. Please contact the hotel directly to request connecting rooms. Please note that all connecting rooms are King to Double or Executive Suite to Deluxe or Accessible King rooms.
We are proud to offer a 100% ADA compliant hotel, with ADA accessible guest rooms available upon request. To request a TDD machine or a wheelchair, please contact the front office or concierge at (313) 442-1600.
Check Cashing Policy
Check cashing services are available in the lobby for guests with US bank accounts. There is a limit of $100 per room per day. Gold Starwood Preferred Guests may cash up to $300 per room per day.
Credit/Debit Card Policy
Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
We welcome any dogs less than 40 lbs to stay at the hotel provided that one of our pet-friendly rooms or suites is available at time of reservation. We reserve the right to charge the guest's credit card for any additional cleaning and excessive damage.
Gift Certificate Acceptance Policy
We welcome gift certificates, which should be presented upon check-in. To purchase or redeem a gift certificate, please call (313) 442-1614.
We ask that our guests respect each other by refraining from loud noises or disturbances. If a noise complaint is reported, security will investigate and may issue a warning to the offending guest's room. If the noise or disturbance continues, guests may be asked to vacate the hotel without refund.
