In the event of a hurricane* in the Jacksonville / Golden Isles / Savannah area, the hotel will replace a guest's vacation for the entire duration of the reservation. This guarantee applies to room and applicable taxes. This policy is applicable to transient reservations and groups as stipulated in their contracts.
The stipulations that apply are as follows:
Replacement vacation must be taken at The Westin Jekyll Island Hotel within one year. Reservations for comparable accommodations will be made on a space available basis. Blackout dates do apply (as determined at our sole discretion).
Any commission owed to travel agents will be paid on the stay interrupted by the hurricane.
Other expenses including, but not limited to, airfares, food and beverage, or chartered services are not included or covered by this guarantee.
Guests holding confirmed and fully deposited reservations (and are within the non-refundable deposit window) that are unable to travel to the resort due to a hurricane* closing the airport or The Westin Jekyll Island will be given the option of a full refund or a one room category upgrade, based on space availability, on their next visit to The Westin Jekyll Island within one year.
*A hurricane is defined/validated by the National Hurricane Center, typically a tropical cyclone in which the maximum sustained surface wind is 74 mph (64 knots) or greater.
Early Departure Policy
Guests checking out prior to their scheduled check-out date will be subject to an early departure fee which is equal to one night's room rate plus taxes.
Suite Night Award Cancellation Policy
Suite Night Award requests may be cancelled until 2 p.m. local hotel time the day before you arrive, as long as the Awards have not already been confirmed for use on a reservation. Once your Awards have been confirmed, you must cancel the entire reservation to be credited back all the Awards; however, after 3 p.m. local hotel time the day before you arrive, a reservation cancellation will result in the forfeiture of all Suite Night Awards applied to the entire reservation. This is in addition to any other cancellation penalties applicable to the reservation itself.
Resort Charge Policy
A Resort Service Charge of 20 USD per room, per night, applies; it provides the following services and amenities:
Wireless High Speed Internet Access in the lobby and guest rooms
Local and toll-free calls
24-hour access to the WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio
Usage of the business center
Island-wide shuttle service
Preferred golf and tennis reservations
Self-parking at the hotel

Connecting rooms can be requested upon arrival and are subject to availability.
Family Plan Policy
Room rates include the accommodation of children (17 years old or younger) who sleep in the existing bedding of a guest room. Rollaway beds and cribs may incur extra charges.
All accommodations and public areas are 100% non-smoking. Designated smoking areas are available outdoors. A 200 USD cleaning fee will apply for smoking in a guest room.
We welcome cats and dogs up to 40 pounds. A pet waiver must be signed and a one time non-refundable fee of 75 USD must be provided at check-in.
Extra Bedding Policy
Heavenly Rollaway Beds are offered for a nightly fee, subject to availability.
Age Requirement Policy
Guests must be at least 21 years of age to reserve or check-in to a room. Government-issued photo ID is required upon arrival.
