All guests must maintain a noise level that does not disturb other guests. If a noise complaint is reported, security will issue a warning to the offending guest's room. If the noise or disturbance continues after the second warnings, guests will be asked to vacate the premises and forfeit fees and deposits.
The hotel does not offer a waitlist.
For security purposes, valid photo identification is required at check-in. Acceptable forms include a drivers license, passport, and/or proof of age card.
Sorry, it’s nothing personal—but we don’t accept personal checks for payment.
Guests with special needs will feel right at home! We're fully compliant with ADA regulations, including offering guest rooms with accessible features.
Credit/Debit Card Policy
Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover potential incidentals and/or damages. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution. The hotel is not responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
The safety and security of our guests and associates is of the utmost importance. The hotel prohibits any person from carrying any firearm in any manner onto the hotel premises, which are private property. Any firearm, whether it is a handgun or a long-barreled gun, carried onto the premises must be surrendered to hotel security for safekeeping. A guest who fails to abide by this policy may be asked to leave the premises.
Exempted from this policy are law enforcement officers and designated military personnel who are on duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties. Civilians, even those who are licensed and permitted to carry a firearm openly or concealed under local, state, or federal law, are not exempt.
In the state of Pennsylvania, alcohol is for adults-only, so we only serve and sell to guests 21 and over. (Remember your ID!)
Animals are family, too! That's why Aloft Philadelphia Downtown welcomes dogs up to 40 pounds.* Our pet-friendly arf(SM) program offers a special bed, bowl, and a doggie bag of woof-alicious treats and toys, all complimentary to use during your stay. Please make sure they're on their best behavior, we don't want to charge you extra for housekeeping! All guests must sign a pet waiver upon arrival.
* If your dog weighs more than 40 pounds, please contact the hotel directly.
Late Checkout Policy
Feel free to sleep in, check-out time isn't until 11am. Looking to stick around a bit longer? Let us know and we'll try to keep the room available for you. There's no guarantee, but if we need you to clear the room, we can always stash your suitcase somewhere else until you're ready to go.
Early Arrival Policy
Check in at 4pm or later and your Aloft room will be ready and waiting. Eager to get in earlier? Just ask at the front desk, and we'll do our best to find you a room that's ready. No guarantees, it depends on the last guests and our housekeeping schedule, but if we can't squeeze you in early, we'll be happy to hang on to your luggage in the meantime.
Family Plan Policy
Room rates include the accommodation of children (17 years old or younger) who sleep in the existing bedding of a guest room. Cribs are included in the cost of the room.
Early Departure Policy
Guests must notify the hotel at least 24 hours prior to the arrival date to make changes to the departure date to avoid an early departure fee of 50% of the last day's room and tax.
Aaahhh…breathe easy! We're a 100% smoke-free environment. So please follow our no-smoking rules—there's a 250 USD fine per night for anyone lighting up inside the hotel.
Age Requirement Policy
Kids are always welcome—as long as there are adults around too! At least one occupant of each Aloft room must be 21 years or older. Be sure to bring ID in case we need to confirm.
Extra Bedding Policy
The hotel does not provide rollaway beds.

Traveling together with family or friends? Many of our Aloft rooms can be connected—usually a king room with a double queen. Make sure to ask when you reserve or check in and we'll do our best to set you up, as availability permits.
International visitors, take note: We may need to see your passport (and visa, if you have one) as ID to validate your payment.
